Lottery Rules
76,700 tickets available;
30,200 single tickets for $100 each, 13,000 3-packs for $250 each and 1,500 5-packs for $400 each

3-Pack and 5-Pack Rules:
  • Only ONE method of payment will be accepted.
  • Only ONE mailing address will be recorded.
  • Only ONE envelope will be mailed containing all ticket numbers.
  • Each ticket in a 3-pack or a 5-pack will contain the same name and contact information..
Persons must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a ticket. Ticket sellers will advise adult purchasers not to write the name of a person under the age of 18 on a ticket due to the requirements of the Trustee Act.

Tickets may only be purchased or sold within Alberta.

Only tickets that have been paid for, and verified as paid for, are eligible for the respective draw/s.

3,886 prizes will be awarded. All prizes awarded are new product.
Approximate total retail value of prizes is $4,075,729 (including GST).

The following, including their spouse and any related or dependent person residing in the same household are prohibited from purchasing a ticket: Calgary Health Trust employees, Board members and Development Council members, the raffle manager and the partners and employees of the professional services firm of KPMG LLP.

Mail orders post-marked prior to or on the applicable deadline will be issued a ticket/s and be eligible for the draw/s if received within 3 business days after the deadline and the lottery has not sold out. In the event the lottery is not sold out after the Early Bird deadline of midnight, October 23rd, those orders received on or after October 27th will be issued a ticket/s and still be eligible for the final draw/s, but exempt from the Early Bird draw.

Draw Dates:
Early Bird draw date is Wednesday, November 5, 2008.

In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird cut-off of midnight, October 23, 2008 then all draws (with the exception of the top five valued prizes) would begin October 31, 2008 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the offices of KPMG LLP located at 2700, 205 – 5th Avenue SW, Calgary, with Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission approval. The first draw would be for the Early Bird prize. This would be followed by draws for all remaining prizes.

The top five valued prize draws would be made Wednesday November 5, 2008 on the Global News Morning Edition between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. "live" from the Grand Prize Showhome, located at 25 Spirit Ridge Lane SW, Calgary.

Final Draw date is Wednesday, November 26, 2008.

In the event that tickets remain after the Early Bird cut-off, then only the Early Bird draw would be made on the Global News Morning Edition between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 5, 2008, "live" from the Global Television studios located at 222, 23rd Street NE, Calgary. Ticket sales would continue until the final sales cut-off of midnight, Thursday November 13, 2008. All draws (with the exception of the top five valued prizes) would begin November 21, 2008 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the offices of KPMG LLP located at 2700, 205 – 5th Avenue SW, Calgary.

The top five valued prize draws would be made Wednesday November 26, 2008 on the Global News Morning Edition between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. "live" from the Grand Prize Showhome, located at 25 Spirit Ridge Lane SW, Calgary.

Draws:
The first draw is for the Early Bird Prize; then draws are made in the order of the least retail value up to the Grand Prizes. After each draw, including the Early Bird draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number goes back for the next draw. Each ticket purchased before the Early Bird ticket sales cut-off is eligible for all 3,886 draws. Tickets purchased after the Early Bird ticket sales cut-off will be eligible for the remaining 3,885 draws.

All winners of prizes will be notified in writing by the professional services firm of KPMG LLP as to what they have won and how to claim their prizes. All prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash equivalencies available. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

In the event that a winning ticket is held in more than one name, it is the liberty of the primary ticket holder to share winning information with those parties.

The Lifestyles Lottery and the Albert Gaming and Liquor Commission will not be responsible for any dispute which may arise between different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.

All draws will be made as stated. An extension of draw dates or cancellation of raffle would only be requested from the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission in the unlikely event of a natural disaster or catastrophic event.

If all tickets are sold by October 23, 2008, possession and title transfer for the Grand Prize Showhomes will be on November 17, 2008. If all tickets are not sold by October 23, 2008, possession and title transfer for the Grand Prize Showhomes will be December 8, 2008.

All prize winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prizes. Where applicable, airfare for vacation prizes is from the Calgary International Airport. All travel/vacation prizes will be free of encumbrances to the winner with no restrictions on travel (i.e. inclusive of all taxes, transfers, etc.). Where applicable, travel prizes may be restricted to the scheduled departure time (i.e. for airplanes or cruise ships).

Two executive members of the Calgary Health Trust and three members of the public who are not members of the Calgary Health Trust will be present to witness each and every draw.

Unclaimed Prizes:
In the event that a winner has not claimed their prize after a twelve month period from the final draw date and after all attempts have been exhausted to contact that winner (i.e. by telephone and mail), then that prize may be returned to the lottery management committee for other charitable use, subject to approval by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.

Arrangements may be made with the prize supplier to have a prize delivered to the winner, at the prize winner's expense.
